I cannot say enough positive things about the Newton Beadery. The staff are friendly, helpful and the selection of beads is fantastic. You may buy strands or loose beads, many different types and styles of findings, and poke around to your heart's content. They also have beading classes. The back of the store is a knitter's haven with lots of yarn and knitting supplies. It's a casual atmosphere located in downtown Newton. My only negative is one that is out of the store owner's control--convenient parking can be difficult, especially on Saturdays. This store ranks higher on my list than any of those in Wichita, the largest city in Kansas located 20 miles south.
